NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th December 2000



        S. O. 1125(E):-- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Working Journalists and other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1955 (45 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour number S. O. 1086 (E), dated the 5th December, 2000, published in Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 5th December, 2000, namely:-

In the said notification,-
A.       in paragraph 1, for clause (g), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
(g) for Table I, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:-
"Table-I*
NEWSPAPER ESTABLISHMENTS ...

Note: The rates of increment of journalists shall be at par with the rates of increment for non-journalists having comparable basic pay."

B. In paragraph II, for clause 9d), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-

(d) for Table I, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:-
"Table I*
NEWS AGENCIES ...

Note: The rates of increment of journalists shall be at par with the rates of increment for non-journalists having comparable basic pay."
